FB Investors was formed so our founder could invest his personal capital into private investment opportunities. In order to invest in more and larger opportunities, FB Investors invites other qualified investors to join in these investments. These predominantly passive investors fall into two general categories.
- The first group is principally made up of current or retired entrepreneurs. This profile of co-investor is attractive for multiple reasons. First, we have known all of these folks for many years and it’s just better doing business with people you like and who also understand the business we’re in. Second, in addition to investing with us, they bring their entrepreneurial experience and wisdom as well as a wealth of industry contacts to the deals. They also periodically sit on the Board of Directors of the investments. We find these intangible contributions extremely valuable.
- The second group includes a very short, well capitalized list of wealthy families. They have the ability, and desire, to invest substantial sums of money.
FB Investors has also aligned itself with like-minded investment groups. We invite each other into our respective opportunities because we like investing together.
This capital structure allows us to pursue investments in a variety of industries and invest either relatively smaller or substantially larger sums. This formula has worked well for FB Investors since its inception and we fully expect to continue to produce positive results for many years to come.
